"Stretches" ( modified Hannon exercise #1)
This piano exercise establishes control of each finger of right and left hand, and coordination of both hands in parallel motion.
It also makes the weakest 4th and 5th fingers (ring finger and pinky) stronger and more manageable.
In my class 2 year-old students capable of playing this exercise and enjoy it very much.
Usually we play one octave until students get stronger fingers and confident coordination.
