We recommend to apply the stickers, included in the Soft Mozart learning piano software package, on your home piano or piano keyboard keys. These stickers are easy to attach and later remove. They help a child or beginner to identify each key and visually relate piano keys with the lines and spaces of the music staff, thus supporting an effective music practice for any beginner from the very start. You can use the stickers with symbols of the Italian (Solfeggio) note names or with the Alphabetical note names. Read about note name symbols...

Meanings of the colors and shapes:

• 5 green stripes are for the keys corresponding with lines of the Treble Clef.
• 5 brown stripes are for the keys corresponding with lines of the Bass Clef.
• Half brown,half green stripe is for the Middle Do (Middle C) and represents the first additional line.
• Red - color of all the line notes.
• Blue - color of all the space notes.

If you are reluctant to apply anything on your piano, instead of stickers you may use Solfeggio piano key guide or Alphabetical piano key guide. Those key guides are especially useful for making the transition after removing all the piano key stickers more gentle for a student.

For children and beginners, all the problems with coordination and all of the unwanted stress while playing piano comes from the fear of pushing the wrong button from the countless and similar looking piano keys. Our stickers are designed to be your music road signs. With them, you will never be lost and always will find the correct piano key to play. The color scheme of these stickers creates a direct and subconscious visual association of piano keys with the music staff.

How long will you need the stickers?
Supporting a comfortable piano playing, key stickers themselves quickly lose their importance for a student who develops music skills and acquires confidence. For such students, the key stickers provide subconscious visual hints rather than direct support for finding a key. You can gradually remove the stickers for a student who already feels comfortable in reading normal music score and playing complicated songs without looking at the piano keys.
